LEARN HOW TO PUSH YOUR BABY OUT IN THIS FOUR MINUTE VIDEO!
Thank you for requesting my How to Push video where I talk about helpful cues to bring your baby earthside!
🌟 Why you shouldn't be told to push like you are pooping.
Listen. I know a lot of well-intentioned birth providers may tell you to push down in your bottom like you’re having a bowel movement when giving birth. And while that is a good way to help you connect to the right region (hey, everybody poops) it’s not the best visual to use while pushing your baby out because, well, your baby is not a turd. In fact, it comes out an entirely different opening down there…..one that requires you to push in a different direction.
🌟 Pushing properly protects your pelvic floor.
And if that’s not enough “p’s” for you, here’s another: Power. When you learn to push in a way that removes your diaphragm as the “driver” of the push, you allow the powerful uterine muscles to do their job better. This video describes how pushing is much like giving yourself a Pedicure and if you paint your nails right you can protect your Perineum. OK, enough P’s, I’ll see myself out!
🌟 You need a step by step instruction manual for pushing (or at least this video!!!).
When I was pregnant, I was petrified of the pain that would accompany pushing. But none of my birthing classes talked about HOW I was actually going to push this baby out. That’s essentially like teaching someone how to throw a shotput by talking about the weight of the ball and the uniform they need without ever really teaching them how to throw the darn thing. I don’t know much about Olympic shot-putting but I know a thing or two about birth. Let me prove it to you with the super quick video above!!!
🌟 Push in a “J” to help your bebe!
Doulas and birth providers have told me that my clients push the best and they credit the “J” to their success!
When I was pregnant with my first child and sucking up as much information as possible to become more prepared for birth, I was shocked at how classes talked about pregnancy and labor and baby basics and postpartum recovery, but not one of my classes addressed how exactly I would push this baby out.
NOT ON MY WATCH!!!
I want to talk about the nitty gritty details of pregnancy and birth so women feel more confident heading into one of the most challenging events their body will ever perform in.
I KNOW PREGNANT WOMEN!
See, I have more experience than most of these influencers have combined and it’s NOT because I’m a decade older than they are.
I’m a Physical Therapist AND Diastasis Recti Expert who has specialized in prenatal and postnatal fitness for nearly fifteen years.
I’ve created an expert-level prenatal class that’s FUN, easy to understand (and do), and fits into your busy lifestyle. I’ve removed all the unnecessary and annoying fluff in most prenatal workouts, to give you that honest, big-sister-talking-to-you-over-decaf-coffee truth about your pregnancy.
These days, you want to be in-and-out of the hospital as quickly as possible. And the traditional birthing classes and prenatal workouts won’t give you all of the tools and information you really need.
I've been doing really well after this pregnancy--probably the best I've ever been post-partum. I think a lot of it has to do with how in shape I was this time around... I think that the strategies that you talked about regarding labor really helped me. I didn't hardly tear this time, and feel that I pushed correctly for the first time. And I was bouncing around feeling great only days after. I think it really makes a difference to understand your body and how it works.

It was great to have a series of exercises to do safely that will help with the pregnancy and delivery, but also the content and discussions I found very helpful, especially being a first time mom. This is a great concept with the combination of exercise and information and I thought it was terrific.

Your class allowed me to streamline my approach and prospective to the entire motherhood process and I was able to tune out all of the E True Hollywood horror stories fellow moms like to tell expecting mothers. All of the education and tips you armed us with helped me in having a stress free and complication free delivery. Thank you!!! Thank you again for such a great experience. I will recommend your class to any expecting mommy.

NICE TO MEET YOU
I'm Carrie Koziol
Hi! I’m Carrie, Women’s Health Physical Therapist and mother of three. When I was pregnant with my first child many moons ago, I searched far and wide for an exercise class that would strengthen my body, teach me tips to make labor easier, and help me connect with other moms. No luck.
After each of my births I longed for someone to take me by the hand and gently guide me through strengthening my body safely. I was too tired to take this on myself. Hello? Anyone out there?

And then when I discovered I had an abdominal separation I was fearful I wouldn’t be able to do the exercises I enjoyed ever again. False!
I used my expertise as a Women’s Health Physical and learned from the best of the best to design these programs according to my own “wish list”….they are the very programs I was desperately searching for as a pregnant and postpartum woman. I hope you love taking them as much as I loved creating them.
Love,
Carrie
